Where do you live?
I live in Bandra, east of Mumbai.
Can you give a bit of background to your life before COFVI?
Before joining COFVI I was studying classical music in Mumbai’s SNDT college. I have also done a foundation course in computers. I also used to also work for the Blind Person Association (BPA). I have a membership at the BPA and handle a lot of work there. I look after the donations we need to collect to run the association, and I also handle the hawkers that work through the BPA
How did you hear about COFVI?
I heard about COFVI through my work with the BPA.
Why did you apply to COFVI?
Simply because I love fragrance and I love smelling things.
How has COFVI impacted your life?
I have learnt many things since I joined COFVI. I can proudly say that COFVI has impacted my life hugely. At first, when I used to smell things, I never paid attention in depth. But now I know the reason behind a product smelling the way it does. I know which ingredients are used in what quantity and everything about the fragrances in detail.
COFVI has boosted my self confidence and now I feel I can work in any fragrance company without any hesitation.
What are your plans for the future, once you have graduated from COFVI?
I will be of course looking for a job in the fragrance industry itself.
What is your favourite ingredient?
Sandalwood
What advice would you give to someone thinking about applying to COFVI?
I would advise anybody who wants to make a career in fragrances and is interested in fragrances to join COFVI since it is the best platform for the visually impaired to showcase their skills and learn how to grow in this industry.
